Job Details We are seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to join our team supporting our Minnesota operations. This role is a backfill for a retiring team member and offers the opportunity for cross‑training and knowledge transfer. You will focus on pure estimating within commercial mechanical systems, working across sheet metal, piping, and plumbing scopes.
This individual will play a key role in both executing estimates and mentoring junior team members, helping elevate the overall estimating function. You will report directly to the Chief Estimator and collaborate across offices on a variety of project types.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial MEP projects (sheet metal, piping, plumbing)
Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate budgets
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support bid strategy
Participate in multi‑office estimating efforts as needed
Mentor and support junior estimators
Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of pure estimating experience within commercial MEP environments
Strong understanding of mechanical systems (sheet metal, piping, plumbing)
Experience working on projects ranging from several million to $100M
Background in a commercial mechanical contractor environment (preferred over GC estimating)
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and offices
Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset
