SUMMARY & OBJECTIVES It is the responsibility of the Government Lending Annual Servicing Manager to take ownership of all tasks and challenges encountered in the operation of the assigned position. This role is responsible for requesting financial statements and completing annual servicing on the bank’s existing Government Loan Portfolio. Additional duties may include assisting with loan servicing action requests and completing site visits as deemed appropriate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Annual Servicing Duties
Request financial and other ancillary information from the Relationship Manager or Borrower to update the bank’s credit files
Spread updated business and personal financial statements and complete a stand‑alone and/or global cash flow analysis
Prepare the annual servicing memo per established SSB guidelines and route it along with the original credit approval memo to the SBA Credit Administrator
Follow up on questions and open items as needed with the SBA Servicing Manager, Relationship Manager, Borrower, or SBA Credit Administrator
Submit risk rating changes via the current tracking system upon completion of the annual servicing
Administrative Duties
Weekly review of SBA 7(A) loan past‑due report with the SBA Credit Administrator to determine early review when necessary
Maintain a month‑by‑month work log for SBA Credit Administrator and Senior Management review
Update the SBA Credit Administrator on SSB Annual Servicing Metric compliance percentage
Assist the SSB SBA Administrative Team with credit‑related aspects of servicing memos as needed
1502 report reconciliation to ensure all loans that need servicing are on the master list
CLAR loans completed twice a year
May also be required to complete site visits to the Borrower’s place of business as needed
Ensure compliance with the bank’s policies, procedures, code of conduct, and regulatory guidelines
Provide assistance to other employees through positive interactions
Be involved in performing marketing endeavors/efforts
Continuously update skills by participating in professional training
Seek opportunities to improve skills through cross‑training offered by the bank
All other tasks, responsibilities or duties as directed by management
OTHER DUTIES

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education : A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting is recommended
Experience : At least one year of experience in a related field
Certifications / Specific Knowledge :
Knowledge of personal computer, Windows, and Microsoft software applications is required
Must be able to prepare documents and compose business letters and memorandums
Must have good knowledge of business English, spelling, and punctuation
Requires knowledge of office practices, procedures, and general office machines
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS / CLASSES
South State Bank credit policies, procedures, and underwriting standards
Annual regulatory and compliance training
Additional training may be required as needed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer, which may involve sitting or standing with the use of the right desk. The role may require bending and reaching.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The position is located inside a cooled and heated facility with the ability to use a break room or restroom during breaks. Telecommuting roles—whether hybrid or 100%—must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. A reliable private internet connection (cable or fiber, not cellular data) is required. Requirements may change as new systems and technology are delivered. Travel may be required to attend meetings as needed.
In accordance with Colorado law: Colorado pay for this position is anticipated to be between $48,647.00 and $77,710.00, with actual offers determined based on applicant’s skills, experience, and education.
