Job Summary
The Media Services & Internet Evangelism division is the home of BGEA’s ministry production and distribution. The Production Director will have impeccable storytelling skills and the ability to develop and execute Christian-focused audio and video productions that are current, creative, and relevant for the target listening audience. The role includes producing promotional material, spots, videos, public service announcements, and programs, and creating and participating in workflow systems to insure on-time performance of audio and video projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Initiate, develop, and implement creative audio and video concepts.
Create video and audio content that is relevant, topical, and geared toward the target listening audience.
Coordinate and execute all on-air production imaging and donor ministry elements and features.
Supervise and coach talent used for station imaging, branding, and assigned projects.
Audition telephone callers for potential use in various imaging projects.
Ensure production content meets BRB quality, mission statement, philosophy, and FCC regulations.
Maintain and participate with the log scheduler and programming team to ensure proper and accurate execution of projects.
Attend at least twelve (12) station events annually and gather audio and video for use in projects.
Communicate effectively with multiple team members and departments.
Create concepts for programming and promotional on-air and online materials, and produce promotions, spots, videos, announcements, and programs in a timely manner.
Assign segments to freelance producers and BRB departments.
Develop and execute a Christian-focused on-air program that is current, creative, and relevant for the target listening audience.
Coordinate all elements and features used in the on-air program.
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities
Possess complete knowledge of all systems needed to produce on-air and online elements (Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere Pro, PlayOut One, etc.) and the ability to perform on-air shift.
Possess complete knowledge of all systems needed to produce music and programs played during on-air shift.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor-level degree in Communications or related discipline.
Three (3) years of production experience.
Ability to quickly make sound judgments regarding on-air production content independently.
Ability to write clearly and concisely for specific audiences.
Ability to work as a team member, and give and take direction.
Ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to convey complex ideas in simple, relevant language.
Skill in writing and producing for a variety of voice styles and target listeners.
Skill in personally voicing productions for variety of objectives.
Familiarity with audio sources and proper processing for optimum on-air excellence.
Ability to properly represent BRB in public settings, with regard to performance and appearance.
Ability to work under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
Familiarity with studio equipment, operations, and techniques.
Ability to organize time and resources.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to use basic math skills.
Thorough knowledge of digital and analog production equipment.
Ability to implement BRB guidelines and philosophy for radio production independently of personal opinions.
Ability to make sound judgments within station operating philosophy regarding structure of music, programs, and content with minimal supervision.
Ability to convert abstract concepts into concrete productions.
Ability to satisfactorily complete assigned production projects on schedule.
Demonstrated integrity, loyalty, and positive attitude.
Physical/Mental Demands
