Social Media Intern
GameChanger by DICK'S Sporting Goods works to connect families via live video streaming of games, scorekeeping and team communication tools for more than half a million teams. We are a remote-first, dynamic tech company based in New York City intent on improving youth sports for all and developing our own teammates. We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Intern to help amplify our presence across platforms like Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sports, digital trends, and storytelling. You'll report to our Social Media Lead and support the team in creating, curating, and scheduling content while engaging with our growing community of players, coaches, and fans. What You'll Work On: Support the creation of real-time content during live events and product launches. Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and tagged posts across all platforms to foster a positive brand presence. Track post-performance and assist in compiling weekly reports. Provide recommendations for content optimization based on trends and data insights. Learn how to contribute to a data driven impact model. What We're Looking For: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Familiarity with major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic design or video editing experience (e.g., PhotoShop, CapCut). Passion for sports and understanding of youth sports culture is a plus. What You'll Gain: 10 weeks of hands-on experience on a product used by millions. $40 per hour pay for your contributions. Housing in Manhattan covered by GameChanger. Round-trip travel to/from NYC covered. A MacBook for the duration of the internship. Mentorship from experienced leaders. Exposure to executive leadership.
