Job Description The
FCS Local Business Head, ISPEC
will drive the execution of the divisional strategy throughout North America to achieve growth and value creation. In collaboration with the Global Head of Business, the Local Business Head contributes to the design and development of the Global Sales & Marketing strategy linked to the related Business Segments (Industrial Machinery, Chem/Pharma, Alternative Fuels, Motorsport, Nuclear). This person will:
Develop and implement the North American Strategic plan for the Business Segment
Develop a local marketing plan, qualify the market needs of the business, and convert it to clear products/solutions requirements
Determine price level for each customer project
Manage customer satisfaction
Drive revenue growth for new and existing customers
Collaborate with Global Head of Business on the design and development of the global sales and marketing strategy – providing input on local demands of the business
This person is/will become a business matter expert for North America. The position requires a broad range of activities relating to strategy creation & execution, sales, marketing, and customer service plus a close collaboration with the Global Business team, in order to drive revenues and market share growth.
Reports to North American FCS Local Division Director.
Responsibilities and Objectives
Manage, coach, and support high performing Sales Team to execute the strategy
Define team’s goals & objectives, setting & tracking KPI’ – holding team accountable
Develop and implement North American strategic Sales & Marketing plan to define the business segment’s commercial path to growth and profitability
Ensure effective control and take actions to guarantee that achievement of sales and marketing objectives fall within designated targets and budgets
Ensure adherence to divisional Sales & Marketing guidelines
Collaborate with both North American and International cross-functional support functional teams (Supply Chain, Sales Admin, Marketing, Finance) to ensure strategic alignment & execution of the Business Plan
Internal CRM reporting
Key Focus Areas
Create unique value propositions for multiple market segments utilizing Stäubli’s broad product portfolio of mono and multicouplings. Segments to include Motorsports, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Alternative Fuels and Industrial Machinery.
Specification of Stäubli products at OEM‘s and End Users.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local integrated suppliers.
Target Applications
Electrolyte filling and draining.
Alternative fuel dispensing stations.
Non-automotive metal transformation (e.g., rolling mills back up rolls).
Filling, draining and temperature control of bioreactors and pressure vessels.
Dampeners, transmission, brake and fuel lines used in various Motorsports.
Adheres to all safety, quality and environmental standards.
Qualifications
Proactive, high sense of urgency, hands on, collaborative approach
7+ years’ experience in sales, marketing, project management, and business development
2 – 3 years’ Team management experience
Bachelors or Technical degree (industrial / mechanical / electrical / controls) or comparable education in combination with work experience
Structured, goal-oriented, and independent work with a high level of commitment
Strong analytical, communicative, and social skills
Motivation to accompany projects from start to finish independently and reliably
Self-confidence and negotiation skills (on the phone and in personal meetings)
Preferred excellent knowledge of one or more of the following segments: Industrial Machinery, Chem/Pharma, Alternative Fuels segments
Additional Information Physical Requirements
Travel Stamina: Ability to travel frequently to meet with customers, attend trade shows, and visit client sites.
Presentation Stamina: Capability to stand for extended periods while delivering technical demonstrations, presentations, or training sessions.
Vision and Hearing: Adept visual acuity for analyzing technical drawings, software interfaces, or machinery, and auditory capabilities for clear communication in, sometimes, loud environments.
Physical Dexterity: General dexterity to operate computers, and, in some cases, handle, demonstrate, or install technical, scientific, or mechanical equipment.
Work schedule
Willingness to travel as required both domestically and internationally (up to 50-75%)
2 – 3 days outside the office traveling with the Team
