
Mortgage Lending Trainer

Position Summary
The Mortgage Lending Trainer is responsible for training personnel on products, software, policies, procedures, and all regulations pertaining to state, federal, and lending compliance.
Essential Functions
Partners with Director of Mortgage Lending Training to provide training to new hires on processes, products, services, and systems to enable sales and service success within a reasonable time after hire.
Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs by analyzing learner feedback and ensures content in training programs meets the business needs.
Assists with the design and development of training programs to meet the ongoing needs of the end to end lending process encompassing sales, fulfillment, and service.
Creates design documents, course content, test criteria, handouts, learning aids, and evaluation/measurement tools for all lending training programs.
Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
Marginal Functions
Enters new hires and maintains information in the Encompass system.
Assist in creating and fostering a talent and performance culture within the organization by developing tools and strategies that promote productivity and improve sales, service, and operational performance levels.
Participate on special projects as needed.
Stay abreast of industry changes by participating in conferences and educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
Maintain compliance with and adhere to all state and federal regulations and Bank policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, SAR, CTR, FACT ACT, Community Reinvestment Act, EEO, and fair employment practices.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Educational & Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in relative field preferred
4years + extensive experience in bank and mortgage accounting and the related functions.
Minimum Skill Requirements
Professional and effective verbal and written communications
High degree of detail orientation
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficient with MS Office
Understanding and familiarity with Encompass LOS required
Physical Demands In terms of an 8-hour workday, “occasional” equals 1% to 33%, “frequent” equals 34% to 66% and “continuous” equals 67% to 100%. However, some duties are performed monthly, annually or sporadically throughout the year and are essential functions.
