POSITION TITLE
Strategy Consulting Manager
Position Summary This manager-level role involves leading projects as a founding member of a newly established strategy consulting team in the United States, while working closely with executive-level clients on data-driven strategic initiatives related to cross-border transactions between Japan and North America.
Responsibilities
Market research, competitive analysis, and regulatory research
Market entry, business development, and strategic planning projects
Business due diligence, joint venture, and partnership support
Turnaround, restructuring, and corporate governance engagements
End-to-end project management including proposal development
Coaching and development of junior consultants
Creation and presentation of compelling business cases and strategy recommendations
Preparation of client deliverables, primarily using Microsoft PowerPoint
Collaboration with international teams across Japan, APAC, Europe, and India
Qualifications
7–10 years of relevant experience in consulting, investment banking, or corporate planning
(5+ years for candidates from strategy consulting firms)
US residency required (3 years OPTs considered for exceptional candidates)
Native-level Japanese proficiency
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
Professional mindset with strong ownership
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Business-related academic background is a plus
LOCATION Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)
SALARY USD120,000-150,000 + Bonus
