VP/Director for Global Expansion
Partly, San Francisco, CA, United States
Director/VP of Expansion
As Director/VP of Expansion, you will lead Partly’s next chapter of international and product growth, taking our AI Infrastructure rails into new regions and new customer segments, and turning early momentum into durable, scalable businesses.
What will you do
Lead global expansion
Identify and prioritise new regions, verticals, and customer segments for Partly’s platform
Develop clear market entry strategies rooted in real customer problems and demand signals
Act as the senior owner for expansion initiatives until they are fully established
Launch new markets and products
Secure and work closely with early cornerstone customers and partners
Shape pilots and early rollouts that validate demand, product fit, and commercial viability
Represent Partly externally with credibility — with enterprises, partners, and ecosystem leaders
Translate opportunity into scale
Work hands‑on with Product to evolve the platform based on early market feedback
Partner with Marketing to define positioning, narrative, and launch strategy in each new market
Collaborate with Operations to ensure delivery quality matches commercial ambition
Build and lead expansion teams
Hire and lead small, high‑calibre regional and functional teams
Empower teams to operate autonomously while maintaining strategic coherence
Set the standard for how Partly expands responsibly and repeatably
Create lasting foundations
Turn successful launches into clear, repeatable playbooks
Establish the conditions for long‑term local leadership
Transition ownership cleanly once markets are ready to scale
Your skills
Senior operator from a high‑growth software company, with experience scaling from roughly 100 to 250+ employees
Proven track record launching new markets, regions, or product lines, not just scaling mature ones
Comfortable operating as the face of the business with senior enterprise customers and partners
Strong commercial instincts paired with sound product and operational judgment
Able to navigate ambiguity, make decisions with incomplete data, and move markets forward
Collaborative leader who works deeply with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations
Low‑ego, high‑ownership mindset with a bias toward clarity, momentum, and long‑term impact
Bonus Experience
Experience within a high‑tech, infrastructure‑first company with a fast‑evolving product set and business model
Exposure to category creation or market education in emerging or complex industries
Automotive Parts Industry Experience
Commitment to Diversity Please note: if you don't have all the skills/experience listed above but believe you could be outstanding in this role, please still consider applying. Many folks, especially those from underrepresented or marginalised groups, often count themselves out.
Benefits
Healthy, Catered Lunches – Enjoy fresh, healthy lunches every workday in our Auckland, Christchurch, London and San Francisco offices. With no meal prep needed, you can eat, connect, and refuel with your team.
Healthy Body, Healthy Mind – Every team member gets a $1,500 annual wellness allowance (or local equivalent) on a Partly‑branded card. Use it on gym memberships, rock climbing, physio, massage, GP visits, prescriptions; anything that you or your family need.
Family Comes First – Primary caregivers receive 3 months of fully paid parental leave, plus a flexible return‑to‑work (four days on full pay for your first three months back).
Getting Here Is On Us – If you commute to a Partly office or co‑working space, choose from a paid 24/7 car park or commute allowance.
Workspaces That Inspire – Our brand new, architecturally designed offices are built for collaboration and creativity, with great coffee, social spaces, and some of the best cafés a few steps away.
Office‑First with Flexibility – In cities where we have an office (Christchurch, Auckland, London, San Francisco), we default there every day.
We Celebrate Together – From weekly happy hours and monthly lunches to quarterly season openers and an annual global offsite, we make time to connect, celebrate, and have fun as one team.
Take time when you need it – We don't ask questions or care if people have a negative leave balance. We work extremely hard and trust our team to take the time they need to recharge.
