AI Adoption & Enablement Specialist
Diné Development Corporation, Dayton, OH, United States
Job Title:
AI Adoption & Enablement Specialist Location:
Dayton | Remote Position Type:
Full time
We are seeking an
AI Adoption & Enablement Specialist
to accelerate the integration of generative AI into our program. This is first and foremost a people-focused role. Success is measured by whether teammates are actually using AI to do their jobs better—not by the sophistication of the technology deployed.
The AI Adoption & Enablement Specialist will work directly with the Program Manager and delivery leads to discover, evaluate, and enable practical AI use cases across Data Management, Enterprise Architecture, Learning Experience Design, and Program Support teams. This role builds genuine enthusiasm for AI, helps individuals identify high‑value applications in their own workflows, and translates what is possible in commercial AI into what is realistic and compliant within the DoD environment.
The ideal candidate combines hands‑on experience with generative AI tools, a consultative mindset, and the communication skills to meet people where they are—from skeptics to enthusiasts—while understanding that the hardest part of AI adoption is human, not technical.
Responsibilities Adoption & Enablement
Serve as the team’s primary AI coach, advocate, and hands‑on enabler
Conduct one‑on‑one and small‑group workflow discovery sessions to surface practical AI opportunities
Develop and maintain a library of prompt templates, playbooks, and lightweight tools
Provide hands‑on training and demonstrations using DoD‑approved tools such as GenAI.mil, Ask Sage, and others as available
Help team members identify where AI adds value and where human effort is more appropriate
Partner with the Program Manager to develop and maintain a GenAI adoption roadmap
Contribute to and co‑deliver AI literacy training in partnership with the Deputy Program Manager
Track and report adoption metrics that demonstrate meaningful changes in how work is performed
Use Case Development & Technical Contribution
Lead systematic exploration of AI use cases across productivity, service delivery, and program objectives
Conduct go
o‑go evaluations of AI use cases, including limitations, requirements, and cost‑benefit considerations
Evaluate and recommend appropriate LLM models and applications within DoD constraints
Assess GenAI.mil and Ask Sage capabilities as platforms evolve
Contribute to defining AI architectures and solution approaches such as RAG pipelines and document parsing workflows
Document outcomes to build institutional knowledge and inform future task orders and proposals
Governance & Communication
Develop program-level guidance for responsible AI use, including data handling and validation practices
Ensure AI adoption aligns with DoD data strategy, security requirements, and compliance obligations
Develop presentation materials for government stakeholders
Translate complex AI concepts into plain language for non‑technical audiences
Support business case development for AI‑enabled service offerings
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
DoD Secret clearance required
3+ years of experience driving technology adoption, organizational change, or AI/digital transformation
Demonstrated hands‑on proficiency with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar
Practical experience with prompt engineering and reusable prompt templates
Familiarity with AI solution concepts such as retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), document parsing, and agent‑based workflows
Exceptional ability to explain AI capabilities and limitations to non‑technical audiences
Proven ability to lead structured workflow discovery conversations
Strong judgment regarding appropriate and inappropriate AI use cases
Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills
Experience working within security, compliance, or platform constraints
Preferred
Experience in DoD, federal government, or highly regulated industries
Familiarity with GenAI.mil, Ask Sage, or similar DoD‑approved platforms
Background in data management, enterprise architecture, or IT program support
Experience delivering AI literacy or upskilling programs
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Demonstrated experience measuring AI adoption and behavioral change
Experience supporting government clients with emerging technologies
