Provide strategic leadership and oversight of private credit and Business Development Company (BDC) fund accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and strong operational controls across multiple funds and investment vehicles. Lead and develop high-performing accounting teams, including Directors, Associate Directors, and accounting staff, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reporting packages, and management reporting for private credit funds, BDC structures, and related SPVs. Ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements for BDCs, including oversight of 10-K, 10-Q, and other regulatory filings in coordination with legal, compliance, and finance teams. Provide executive oversight of NAV calculations, general ledger management, and portfolio performance reporting across complex private credit strategies. Ensure accurate accounting and reporting for capital calls, distributions, management fees, incentive allocations, carried interest structures, and fund expenses. Oversee accounting and reporting for private credit investments, including senior secured loans, direct lending facilities, unitranche structures, mezzanine debt, subordinated credit, structured credit, and co-investments. Partner closely with valuation, investment, legal, and operations teams to ensure appropriate methodologies are applied for illiquid credit instruments and complex debt structures. Provide technical accounting leadership related to investment company accounting under ASC 946, including BDC-specific considerations. Serve as the senior point of contact for auditors, fund administrators, and third-party service providers, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables. Oversee and approve investor communications, including capital call notices, distribution notices, and investor statements. Support fundraising and investor relations initiatives, including preparation of accounting disclosures for offering materials and responses to investor due diligence requests. Drive operational efficiency initiatives, including automation, system enhancements, and implementation of best practices across fund accounting workflows. Act as a trusted partner to senior leadership and investment teams, providing accounting insights to support deal structuring, portfolio monitoring, and strategic business initiatives. What You Will Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred). 10+ years of progressive experience in fund accounting, financial reporting, or audit within private credit, direct lending, or Business Development Companies (BDCs). Strong knowledge of BDC regulatory and reporting requirements, including experience supporting SEC filings such as 10-K and 10-Q. Significant leadership experience managing accounting teams and complex fund structures. Deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP (ASC 946) for investment companies. Extensive experience managing audits, fund administrators, and external service providers. Experience overseeing multi-fund platforms and complex credit strategies. Proficiency with fund accounting platforms such as Allvue, Investran, eFront, Geneva, or similar systems. Strong understanding of complex waterfall structures, carried interest allocations, and incentive fee calculations. Experience working with multi-jurisdictional fund structures (e.g., Cayman, Luxembourg, Delaware). Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with senior executives, investment professionals, and clients.
