The Kiona Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to transforming the future of healthcare by researching novel, plant-based treatment options and supporting families navigating the challenges of cancer. Named in honor of a beloved child lost to brain cancer, our work is rooted in compassion, advocacy, and innovation. We support pioneering clinical research, offer educational programs on natural health and the endocannabinoid system, and provide vital resources to families facing housing insecurity during medical treatment. Overview The Video Editor / Multimedia Volunteer plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Kiona Foundation. This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking work in pediatric cancer research, family support, and community engagement. Volunteers in this role will work closely with a passionate and committed team to advance the Foundation’s strategic priorities.
Time Commitment Expected commitment is 4-6 hrs/week, with flexibility based on availability and project needs. This is a remote volunteer position unless otherwise specified.
Key Responsibilities
Edit video footage from events, family testimonials, interviews, and awareness campaigns into polished multimedia for YouTube and social channels.
Add branded intros/outros, captions, overlays, and music in alignment with Kiona Foundation’s visual identity.
Format final videos for multiple platforms (Instagram Reels, LinkedIn posts, campaign landing pages).
Organize media files and manage a shared drive of editable content and final exports.
Desired Skills & Qualifications Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, mission-aligned, and capable of working independently in a collaborative, virtual environment.
