This position plays a key role in promoting the BCCC story to multiple audiences to drive enrollment growth, strengthen engagement, and enhance the student experience. The Director of Social Media & Digital Marketing manages the College's social media presence overseeing all aspects including strategy, content creation, scheduling, analytics, and performance reporting. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively within the marketing team and across all departments. Primary Functions: Manage College's main social media pages including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Create and schedule content for the pages, and act as a community manager to ensure that comments and messages are responded to in a timely manner. Provide guidance for staff managing social media sub-pages for College-specific programs and departments. Develop digital advertising campaigns that respond to business and market needs. Research trends in GEM and SEM, and recommend new approaches. Develop creative digital marketing campaigns using state-of-the-art tools such as Generative Engine Marketing, SEM, geofencing, retargeting, and social media. Meet and work closely with colleagues throughout the college who manage departmental social media accounts to share best practices, and content/assets. Supervise direct reports including student interns and serve as liaison to vendors/project consultants. Create and source content for weekly internal college e-newsletter and other internal emails as needed. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in marketing, social media, communications, or related fields. 4-6 years of job related experience (marketing, social media, planning and developing campaigns, etc.). Demonstrated experience in managing social media platforms for an organization. Demonstrated experience in digital marketing tactics and techniques. Demonstrated experience developing written content, taking, and editing photos and video for social media via CapCut, Adobe, Canva, etc. Solid understanding of branding, integrated marketing communications, public relations, social media, and digital marketing. Excellent communication skills, including writing for internal mass emails and a wide array of social media platforms, and verbal communication. Excellent proofing and editing skills; familiarity with AP Style a plus. Working knowledge of ADA compliance and accessibility best practices for social media content (e.g., alt text, captions, color contrast). Metrics-driven with the ability to present to College leadership including the President's Cabinet, and Board of Trustees. Excellent organizational skills including the ability to balance multiple simultaneous projects and tasks in a deadline-driven environment using a project management system. Ability to work independently as well as collaborative in a team structure. Ability to take initiative yet keep others informed and see projects through to completion. Ability to analyze and solve complex problems. Ability to understand enrollment and demographic data to inform marketing strategy. Strategic planner and creative thinker. Experience managing accounts, working with vendors, and developing short- and long-term strategies and campaigns. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information. Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends on occasion for event coverage, primarily on campus. Ability to travel to other campuses or off-site occasionally. Proficient with the Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams. Experience with email marketing platforms, preferably Constant Contact, and the ability to create, schedule and deploy email campaigns. Graphic design, video production, photography, and other creative skills a plus. Agency experience a plus.
