SUMMARY STATEMENT The position will design, develop, implement and determine the methodology used to produce and use data analytics to meet or inform organizational objectives and to contribute to the overall profitability and strategic positioning of the company. The incumbent will identify, develop, and lead data analytic projects that measure, inform and improve departmental and company performance and meet customer needs/satisfaction within established budgets and project guidelines.

Design/Develop (50%)
Work closely with IT and the operating companies' management to:
Identify opportunities where data analytics can drive successful decisions, strategies and cross-functional enhancements across and within the companies.
Work directly with operational management to develop and lead short and long-term projects to assist company leadership with turning identified opportunities and leadership inquiries or pursuits for information into successful decisions, strategies and cross-functional enhancements across and within the companies.
Create the analytic foundation for the companies that will ensure their competitive advantage.
Work with IT to develop the data architecture and infrastructure to support the various analytic requirements of the companies and their departments and to support the strategic direction for the organization's analytic capabilities.
Work directly with operational management to develop best-in-class reporting and communicate data-driven insights to drive client strategy and decision making and lower operating costs.
Develop specific, measurable client business objectives and the means to measure those objectives.
Analyze/Consult/Coach (40%)
Work closely with operating companies' informatics/data analysis teams to ensure they are maximizing the use of their data and associated tools and achieving desired levels of performance.
Coach and provide feedback to informatics employees and client groups to elevate the performance level of individual contributors, leaders and teams.
Other (10%)
Develop and initiate projects to produce, represent and communicate data analytics across the companies.
Build trusting and collaborative relationships with leadership and individual contributors within operations and IT at all levels.
Obtain and demonstrate continuing and current knowledge of the companies' business, departmental functions and functional or potential inter-relations.
Recommend and manage proprietary tools, vendors and/or third-party technologies to report and analyze data.
Ensure the quality and timeliness of measurement deliverables to meet management/leadership expectations and identify measurement needs.
Educate and train client groups and informatics employees as needed.
Develop presentations and other communications that are clear, compelling and persuasive.
Performs other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related field
Master's degree or relevant experience/certification equivalent in area(s) of health informatics, public health (MPH), Data Science/Analytics, Biostatistics, Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Analytics/MBA (healthcare focus), Computer Science (healthcare analytics experience required)
Healthcare domain knowledge in areas such as claims data. Quality measures, value-based care modules, utilization analytics, risk adjustment, population health analytics, clinical workflows and revenue cycle basics
Data and analytics knowledge such as SQL (advanced), data warehousing concepts, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines, data governance and data quality frameworks, BI tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau/Looker, etc.), Predictive modeling concepts, basis statistics, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) development and matrix design
7 years’ related work experience including 5 years direct supervisory/project management lead or other leadership experience
Demonstrated understanding of the latest trends and developments in analytics
Strong analytical background working in data management
Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex models in easy to understand terms
Proven ability to manage and teach others
Ability to complete multiple assignments in a compressed timeframe within a dynamic organizational environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA or advanced analytical degree
In-depth understanding of Medicare
Technical Expertise:
Advanced knowledge of machine learning, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and optimization techniques.
Expertise with modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, ScikitLearn, XGBoost, LightGBM).
Hands-on experience with NLP, deep learning, generative AI, or large language models (LLMs).
Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and best practices (e.g., ETL/ELT, MLOps, feature stores, model monitoring).
Track record of architecting and delivering scalable AI/ML solutions in production.
Data Ecosystem & Tools:
Proficiency with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse).
Strong SQL experience and comfort with distributed query engines (e.g., DuckDB, Spark, Presto).
Experience with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), particularly managed ML tools and pipelines.
Familiarity with model deployment frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, MLflow, ONNX, Kubernetes, Docker).
