The Opportunity
Iru is looking for an Events Marketing Manager to lead the planning and execution of our event program across major conferences, mid‑sized industry events, private invite‑only events, and community meetups within the cybersecurity space.
As Iru’s Event Marketing Manager, you’ll own the full event program: strategy, logistics, vendor relationships, on‑site operations, and everything in between. You’ll set the event calendar, define how Iru shows up at each type of event, manage the budgets, and run execution end to end. You’ll be the person other teams rely on when something goes sideways on‑site, because you’ve seen it before and you know exactly what to do.
You’ll work directly with the Head of Marketing and closely with sales, PR, and creative to make sure every event drives real pipeline and reflects Iru’s brand.
Must be able to work onsite in our Coral Gables office.
What You’ll Do
Event Strategy and Planning
Own Iru’s event calendar across large‑scale conferences, mid‑sized industry events, private invite‑only dinners and experiences, and community meetups
Define how Iru shows up at each event type: booth footprint, experience design, staffing model, sponsorship tiers, and activation strategy
Build and manage event budgets with full accountability for spend, vendor negotiations, and ROI tracking
Evaluate new event opportunities and make clear recommendations on where to invest and where to pass
Conference and Booth Execution
Lead all logistics for major industry conferences where Iru sponsors and operates booths, including events with 50,000+ attendees
Own the full booth lifecycle: design brief, vendor selection, production, shipping, setup, staffing coordination, breakdown, and post‑show reconciliation
Manage mid‑sized conference presence with leaner builds that still reflect brand quality
Ensure demos, collateral, swag, and staff are prepared and aligned before every event
Private Events and Activations
Plan and execute private invite‑only events and executive dinners: venue sourcing, guest experience, AV, catering, run‑of‑show, and day‑of operations
Design activations that create genuine conversation and leave attendees with a clear impression of what Iru is and why it matters
Work with sales to define the right guest lists and ensure follow‑up happens
Cross‑functional Coordination
Partner with sales leadership on event staffing, lead capture, and SDR follow‑up strategy
Coordinate with Iru’s PR agency on media and analyst briefings around major events
Manage speaker submissions, presentation logistics, and prep for Iru presenters at conferences
Brief the creative team on asset needs with enough lead time to do the work well
What We’re Looking For
6+ years of B2B event marketing experience, with clear ownership of large‑scale conference presence and high‑end private activations
A portfolio of events you’ve run that you’re genuinely proud of. You should be able to walk through what you built, what went wrong, and what you’d do differently.
Deep hands‑on expertise across booth builds, vendor management, AV, catering, shipping logistics, and on‑site operations
Experience in cybersecurity, enterprise SaaS, or technical B2B strongly preferred
Strong budget management and vendor negotiation skills
Calm under pressure. Events break. You fix them without making it everyone else’s problem.
Highly organized with the kind of follow‑through that means nothing falls through the cracks
Clear communicator who can align stakeholders across sales, marketing, and leadership without a lot of hand‑holding
Nice to Have
Existing relationships with major cybersecurity conference organizers (RSA, Black Hat, Gartner Security)
Experience managing event agencies or production vendors at scale
Familiarity with event tech platforms for registration, lead capture, and post‑event reporting
Experience designing and executing C‑suite or executive‑level experiences
