Overview
We are seeking a Marketing Analytics Contractor to support performance analysis and optimization across customer acquisition initiatives, with a strong focus on direct mail programs and digital marketing efforts .
This role will partner with marketing, finance, and data teams to deliver insights that improve targeting, forecasting, and campaign effectiveness. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working with large datasets, and experienced in translating data into actionable business recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Performance Analysis (Direct Mail Focus)
Develop and maintain reporting frameworks to track campaign results across markets, audiences, and test groups
Provide regular performance updates, including insights into trends, variances, and in-flight campaign behavior
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting processes
Conduct post-campaign analyses to uncover performance drivers and areas for optimization
Forecasting & Planning Support
Build and refine models to estimate response rates, conversions, revenue impact, and return on investment
Collaborate with marketing and finance stakeholders on campaign planning, budget allocation, and volume projections
Evaluate the expected impact of changes in targeting, creative strategy, or market expansion
Continuously improve forecast accuracy using historical data, seasonality patterns, and channel trends
Testing & Measurement
Assist in structuring marketing experiments across variables such as audience, offer, timing, and channel mix
Ensure testing frameworks are statistically sound with proper control groups and sample sizes
Analyze test results and provide clear insights, including performance lift, statistical significance, and recommendations
Campaign Execution Support
Support audience selection and segmentation processes for campaign deployment
Translate business requirements into structured targeting logic and selection criteria
Validate campaign inputs to ensure consistency across segments, markets, and test designs
Provide quick-turn analysis to support adjustments in targeting or campaign setup
Digital Marketing Analytics
Monitor and validate data across digital analytics platforms
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in tracking or reporting
Perform segmentation, cohort, and attribution analysis to understand user behavior and campaign impact
Build dashboards and visualizations to communicate performance and insights to stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
Strong proficiency in data analysis using Excel and SQL (Snowflake experience is a plus)
Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or similar platforms
Familiarity with digital marketing ecosystems, including analytics and paid media platforms
Solid understanding of marketing performance metrics such as customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, ROI, and incremental impact
Knowledge of direct mail campaign metrics, including response rates, conversion behavior, and cost structures
Experience designing and evaluating experiments (A/B testing, multivariate testing, statistical analysis)
High attention to detail with a focus on data quality and accuracy
5+ years of experience in marketing analytics or a related field
