Role Description We are entering our next growth phase of the company and are seeking a talented design generalist to drive the research, design, and prototyping of our full suite of digital products. Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to user research, user flow and journey mapping, creation of low fidelity wireframes, visual design, prototyping, feature development, and maintaining design systems. You’ll operate as a “design team of one” while working hand-in-hand with CDLLife’s Director of Product to build out the requirements, design, and roadmap for CDLLife’s overall product priorities. Bonus points for experience with atomic design systems, or working in a role that requires frequent interaction with developers and corporate stakeholders. Duties & Responsibilities Own end-to-end design across web and mobile — from user flows and wireframes to polished UI Create and maintain Figma files including components, design systems, and style guides Build interactive prototypes for stakeholder reviews and user testing Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into design solutions Conduct or support user research and usability testing, incorporating findings into designs Participate in design critiques and incorporate feedback iteratively Ensure consistency across platforms and products Hand off production-ready specs and assets to developers Stay current with design trends, platform guidelines (iOS, Android, Web), and accessibility standards Qualifications Minimum of 2 years professional product design experience At least 1-2 years each with mobile design and responsive web design Stunning portfolio and body of work with demonstrable case studies clearly outlining your end-to-end design process Fluency designing in Figma Ability to pick up complex products and ideas quickly Ability to execute in-person and remote design sessions alike with ease Knowledge of usability best practices Collaborative and versatile approach when working with various stakeholders Working Arrangement Hybrid position, 3 days/week in-office Monday - Wednesday: work in our downtown Kansas City office Thursday - Friday: optionally remote Full-time, 40 hours per week with flexible workday schedule Benefits Healthcare, Dental, Vision insurance with employer contributions 401k with match Free drinks and snacks #J-18808-Ljbffr
