Overview We’re looking for a
Creative Director (Copywriter)
to lead concept and craft for a high-output
Digital Advertising Creative team , focused on paid media, social-first, and full-funnel performance campaigns. This role blends critical thinking with hands‑on writing, guiding teams to create data‑informed creative that performs across channels while elevating brand storytelling within the automotive space.
You’ll partner closely with
media, strategy, production, and client teams
to translate business goals and audience insights into breakthrough ideas — all while ensuring work is optimized for modern digital platforms.
Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary creative team, with a primary focus on concept, messaging, and storytelling, to deliver exceptional work across paid social, digital campaigns, email, web, and brand platforms.
Own the creative development process from brief to execution, shaping platform‑first ideas and copy systems for digital paid media, including paid social and video.
Partner closely with media and strategy teams to develop data‑informed messaging and creative concepts that align with audience insights and drive performance across channels.
Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, leading creative discussions that connect brand storytelling to performance goals, optimization insights, and campaign outcomes.
Translate brand and marketing objectives into innovative creative concepts, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
Develop and implement scalable content and copy strategies for digital platforms including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, and emerging channels.
Mentor and develop junior and mid‑level writers, setting a high bar for conceptual thinking, writing craft, clarity, and execution across all deliverables.
Ensure all creative work adheres to brand voice guidelines and messaging frameworks, while pushing for innovation and freshness in language and ideas.
Maintain accountability for creative quality by ensuring outputs meet brand standards, platform procedures, and performance targets.
Stay current on platform updates, digital trends, consumer behavior, and technologies to keep creative at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in a creative leadership role within an agency or brand environment, with a focus on digital advertising, paid media, and social‑first content.
Proven portfolio showcasing concept development across video, social platforms, native ads, and digital campaigns.
Deep understanding of platform nuances, ad specs, and creative best practices for social and digital channels.
Strong conceptual thinking and a bold creative vision, balanced with results‑focused execution.
Deep understanding of CDP and applying data to concept creation.
Demonstrated ability to lead creative teams and work cross‑functionally with media, strategy, and production departments.
Skilled in video ideation, and content adaptation for various formats and placements.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable pitching and articulating creative ideas to collaborators and clients.
Experience with brand building and maintaining visual and verbal identity across channels.
Automotive Category experience strongly preferred.
Proficient in creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Familiarity with performance marketing creative testing frameworks (e.g., A/B testing, multivariate).
Background in directing or producing video content.

Compensation Range: $129,485.00 - $177,200.00 Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third‑party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
