Our client, a boutique investment bank based in NYC, is seeking a Graphic Designer to join their Creative/Marketing team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a clear path to conversion at the one-year mark. The role is based on Madison Avenue with a four-day onsite schedule and offers the opportunity to work on high-impact, design-forward projects in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
This is a production-heavy role supporting internal stakeholders, including investment banking teams. The ideal candidate can balance speed with precision and deliver refined, high-quality work while interpreting creative direction and working independently. The team is highly aesthetic-driven, with a preference for clean, modern, editorial-style design. A portfolio is required for consideration.
What we are looking for:
Strong typography, layout, and editorial design skills
Experience across both digital and print design
Ability to execute quickly while maintaining a high level of polish and attention to detail
Confidence taking direction while also owning design decisions
Experience working within structured, deadline-driven environmentsPortfolio showcasing clean, modern, and refined design aesthetics
Key Responsibilities:
Design digital assets including web, social, and marketing materials
Create print collateral such as reports, publications, advertisements, and event materials
Maintain brand consistency across high-visibility deliverables
Support high-end publication and presentation design
Collaborate with the Creative Director and broader team, including contractors and offshore partners
Contribute to evolving creative direction while executing at a high level
Required Qualifications:
2–5 years of professional visual or graphic design experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating typography, layout, and a mix of digital and print work
Ability to interpret and execute against creative direction with minimal oversight
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Proficiency in PowerPoint and MS Office tools
Experience in in-house environments preferred (agency experience welcome with polished work)
Nice to Have:
Background in financial services or corporate environments
Clear personal design point of view (for mid-level candidates)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: NYC (Madison Avenue)
Hybrid Schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (no H-1B, no C2C)
Duration: 12-month contract with potential for full-time conversion
Portfolio: Required for consideration
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) after 60 days, plus applicable PTO and sick leave per state/local law
Pay Range: $50–60 per hour
Compensation for this position will be determined based on several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role; market labor costs; the candidate’s skills, education, training, credentials, and experience; and other employment conditions. Full-time consultants are eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) contributions, along with any PTO, sick leave, or other benefits required by applicable state or local laws where you reside or work.
