Estimated base salary range: $160,000 - $200,000 per year

Become a Key Player as a UI/UX Designer, Design Language You will own and evolve the organization’s visual design language to help engineers and technical users interact with complex systems more effectively. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and leadership to create scalable design systems that improve clarity and speed across product surfaces. This is a hybrid role requiring collaboration in person twice a week in the Bay Area and attendance at the headquarters in Marina del Rey, CA for a full week every two months.
Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact on the Team Define and maintain the organization’s design system, including reusable components and patterns Translate complex architectures and telemetry workflows into clear, intuitive visuals and interfaces Visualize large-scale, high-frequency data in informative and aesthetically effective ways Partner with product, engineering, marketing, and customers to ensure designs meet technical user needs Create reusable templates, frameworks, and patterns to increase speed and consistency Ensure designs reflect precision and high quality Act as a visual translator to bridge technical complexity and design clarity
Here’s What You’ll Need to Be Successful in This Role 8+ years of experience in UI/UX, design systems, or data visualization Strong portfolio demonstrating visual clarity, systems thinking, and technical storytelling (portfolio required) Experience designing for B2B SaaS or infrastructure-oriented products Proven ability to transform technical input into diagrams, workflows, and visual systems Ability to lead cross-functional projects and work independently Proficiency in Figma Clear communication skills for explaining design rationale to technical and non-technical stakeholders Curiosity for technical audiences and complex systems
Here’s What Else Might Help You Out Experience in aerospace, defense, autonomy, or energy Background in system modeling (mechanical, software, or process) Prior work on developer documentation, architecture explainers, or product walkthroughs Familiarity with motion design or front-end implementation
