Job Overview
Local packaging company in Tulsa is hiring for crating assemblers. Assembles wooden products such as boxes, packing cases, and pallets. Also looking for experienced whirlwind and table saw operators.
Responsibilities
Follow work order's cut list and position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled.
Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, fasteners or other hardware.
Be able to take proper readings of a tape measure (tape measure test required for new hires).
Operate table saw and whirlwind, drill presses, punch presses or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.
Load and properly brace product(s) for safe shipment.
Have a basic understanding of the operations of the air compressor.
Keep hand tools in good working order and clean and maintain work area.
Maintain ISO Standards.
Operate a forklift (if applicable).
Assist in training new employees.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must be able to read a tape measure.
Hours & Compensation Hours are M-F 7am-3:30pm, OT as needed. $14-$15/hr.
