Job Description
When a Soldier has a question about benefits, policy, or needs help with a sensitive issue, the Army National Guard’s Human Resources Specialist is the primary go‑to person. As an HR Specialist, you will help Soldiers develop their Guard careers and provide personnel support and assistance to all divisions within the Guard.
Key Responsibilities
Organize, maintain, and review personnel records; data entry and retrieval
Process recommendations and prepare, update, and coordinate requests for evaluations
Arrange awards ceremonies and manage Soldier requests for ID cards, tags, leaves of absence, and passes
Order and maintain office supplies and filing systems
Assist with all human resource support matters
Oversee strength management and distribution actions
Ensure readiness, health, and welfare of all Soldiers
Provide postal and personnel accountability support
Maintain emergency notification data
