Job Summary Commercial Lines Associate Account Manager to join the East Division. Perform routine responsibilities and act as the primary contact for assigned clients under direct supervision. Support coverage strategy and plan in Applied Systems/EPIC and apply insurance principles to everyday situations.

Responsibilities

Perform daily service on assigned tasks by Producers and/or Account Executives with the agency’s written procedures, including:

Service accounts: quote and issue policies, ID cards, proposal endorsements, certificates, claims, renewals, follow‑ups, and correspondence.

Respond to client inquiries, incoming mail, and company requests in a timely manner.

Support coverage plans as required.

Participate in insurance marketing and sales activities.

Collect renewal data on assigned accounts.

Assist with claims support.

Review new/renewal policies and endorsements to ensure items were received as ordered.

Maintain accuracy of client data in the agency management system (Applied Systems/EPIC).

Document all activities in the agency management system.

Utilize upload, download, and interface technology.

Assist other agency departments in securing and providing information needed to issue appropriate policies for mutual clients.

Keep Producers informed of all important account activities, potential problems, and management updates.

Stay current with industry trends, attend educational seminars and classes for insurance/sales skill improvement and license compliance.

Maintain knowledge of current underwriting requirements of contracted carriers and policy provisions.

Complete other functions and assignments as assigned, including backup duties.

Requirements

Commercial insurance industry experience or demonstrated ability to handle job complexities.

Applied Systems/EPIC experience required.

Active Property & Casualty license, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Strong organizational skills – ability to prioritize and be proactive.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.

Computer skills with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Education and Experience

High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial lines highly preferred.

Pay Details Base compensation range: $50,000 – $58,000. Placement within range based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
