Job Description Empire Ford Lincoln of Huntington is part of the Empire Automotive Group Auto Parts Counter. We are seeking to hire an Auto Parts Counter Person to join our team. This role is ideal for a career‑minded, customer‑service‑oriented individual with prior experience in auto parts sales. The position offers a salary with commission‑based incentives and focuses on team success, working alongside the technician to drive the store's growth. Physical strength and stamina are essential, as the job involves lifting, squatting, and carrying heavy items.

We’re looking for Level A, B and C Level Parts Counter person experience only .

Your Daily Work Schedule

Oversees the parts sales process from start to finish.

Communicates with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Conveys effectively/efficiently regarding customer parts status.

Reads and understands the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts.

Answers phone calls and provides price quotes and other information to customers.

Reviews body shop estimates to verify the parts ordered are correct, and all pricing is in line with the estimate.

Provides high‑level service to both internal and external customers.

Pulls/fills orders from stock and maintains weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.

Handles heavy items, including lifting, squatting, and carrying.

Assists parts team loading or unloading parts truck.

Notifies parts manager of out‑of‑stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.

Locates out‑of‑stock parts from outside sources and submits an emergency order, if necessary.

Ensures all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.

Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.

Qualities We’re Looking For

Level A, B or C Level Parts Counter person experience only.

Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment.

Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents.

Ability to calculate figures/amounts including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, %, area, circumference, and volume.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Understanding the importance of listening and being empathetic.

Strong work‑ethic with the ability to work in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.

Experience providing outstanding customer service by showcasing expertise, fostering trust, and growing customer satisfaction.

Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive “team‑player” attitude.

Open to constructive feedback to improve performance and development.

Flexible with work scheduling and availability to work weekends and holidays.

Strong computer skills and familiarity with Reynolds & Reynolds systems.
