Animal Nutrition Sales Specialist
Join our dynamic team as an Animal Nutrition Sales Specialist, where your expertise will play a vital role in strengthening our relationships with producer members and delivering innovative nutritional solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the sales team to promote sustainable, tailored products and services that meet the diverse needs of our clients across various segments.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Sales team to develop and maintain strong relationships with producer members
Identify and capitalize on point-of-sale opportunities to drive sales growth
Provide expert guidance on animal nutrition products and services, ensuring customer needs are met with innovative and sustainable solutions
Market and deliver comprehensive nutrition solutions across key segments including dairy, beef, calf/heifer, feed commodities, and risk management
Deliver exceptional customer service that exceeds client expectations and fosters long-term loyalty
Stay informed about industry trends, product developments, and competitive landscape to effectively position offeringsCollaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services
Skills and Qualifications
In-depth technical knowledge of animal nutrition products and services
Proven experience in sales, preferably within the animal nutrition or agricultural industry
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients
Ability to analyze customer needs and recommend tailored solutions
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and overcoming challenges
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred
Working Conditions
This position may require travel within the assigned territory.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds at any given time.
Working in outdoor conditions.
