Job Description Summary

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for maintaining our communities to a market‑ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. They build and motivate high‑performing teams to maximize property performance.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Ensure the smooth running of our community in a fast‑paced environment.

Assist the Property Manager with overall operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.

Assist the Property Manager with providing superior customer service and communication to our residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.

Complete lease/renewal paperwork to company standards.

Track and evaluate advertising and all client traffic.

Maintain and model the Cushman & Wakefield mission as the best national management company.

Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the on‑site team, ensuring all Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures are followed.

Interview, hire, and coach staff as necessary to maintain effective on‑site personnel.

Maintain residents’ files in accordance with company standards.

Maintain a positive living environment for residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow‑up.

Manage and maintain all aspects of the overall community budget and finances.

Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met.

Competencies

Effective communication and customer service skills.

Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.

General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication.

Determine leasing opportunities for staff and set performance goals.

Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the team, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.

Be able to manage a team.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

IMPORTANT EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational school required.

Important Experience

3+ years of Property Management experience.

1+ years of Management experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. It routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Regular travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Stand and walk for extended periods, ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and step stools, and travel outside in varying weather conditions. Stand or sit for 85% of the time, use office machinery, and be able to exert up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Compensation will vary by location, experience, and other factors.

Compensation

The position is offered at $23.80 – $28.00 per hour.
