Who we are As a Gensler Designer in San Francisco, you will collaborate with our Design Directors to develop design solutions and coordinate the design through the construction documentation and construction administration phases of interior projects. What You Will Do

Support project teams through all phases of design, including programming, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation

Assist with the development of graphic presentations, 3D renderings, drawings, and visual materials

Contribute to space planning, finish selections, specifications, and design documentation

Help prepare and present FF&E selections, including furniture, fabrics, lighting, and finishes

Use hand sketching and digital tools to communicate design ideas and concepts

Collaborate with designers, architects, and project team members in a team‑oriented studio environment

Coordinate with consultants, vendors, product representatives, and fabricators as directed

Provide design support during project execution to help ensure design intent

Participate in studio activities, learning programs, and office initiatives

Support the use of new and emerging technologies, including AI tools, to enhance design workflows

Gain exposure to a variety of project types, including Workplace, Technology, Education, Sciences, Mixed‑Use, and Commercial.

Your Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture

0‑3 years of related project experience or internship experience at a commercial interior design or architecture firm

Proficiency in Revit is required

Proficiency in modeling using 2D/3D software, Enscape, Lumion, hand sketching, and new AI techniques

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)

Ability to work in person in the office 5 days a week

Ability to keep up in a fast‑paced environment, work collaboratively, and take direction from senior designers/architects

Clear verbal communication abilities and is detail‑oriented

Possess a visual communication style and can think and visualize in three‑dimensions

Compensation The base salary will be estimated between $75,000 and $95,000, plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.

Work Arrangement This opportunity is designed for on‑site collaboration, offering the chance to engage closely with our team and projects in person. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role at this time.
