Physicians Surgical Hospitals includes two surgical centers - Panhandle Surgical Hospital and Quail Creek Surgical Hospital, and one physical therapy center - Quail Creek Physical Therapy - and a state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic imaging center, Advanced Imaging Center of Amarillo.
Responsibilities
Supports Physical Therapists in providing treatments to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and manage physical disabilities.
Works under the direction and supervision of a licensed PT, implementing prescribed treatment plans and monitoring patient progress.
Provides and documents patient care.
Provides and documents physical therapy treatment to patients.
Supervises assigned staff.
Interacts and practices in collaboration with other professionals.
Individuals must comply with the Texas Physical Therapy Practice Acts and Rules.
Qualifications Job Requirements
Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
Texas state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements
Previous acute care, rehab, or outpatient experience.
