The Team:
The U.S. Structured Credit - CLO team is part of the broader Structured Finance Group at S&P Global Ratings. The team assigns and monitors credit ratings for securitizations backed by broadly syndicated or middle market corporate loans. The practice provides credit ratings of structured products that are backed by pools of assets, mainly focused on Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) transactions.
The Impact:
As an Associate Director, you will be an integral part of the analytical team, responsible for cash flow modeling and transaction document analysis in support of new issue ratings and surveillance of CLO transactions. You will review documents as they pertain to our CLO criteria and conduct cash flow analyses to stress test the structures and enhancement levels under various economic scenarios. You will also participate in credit rating committees and interact with bankers, issuers and investors on analytical matters, directly contributing to S&P Global's reputation as a leading credit rating agency.

Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed reviews of legal and operating documents to ensure compliance with criteria and identify issues with the transaction structure
Actively manage relationships with issuers, intermediaries and investors while effectively communicating S&P's methodologies and procedures
Participate in client meetings and credit rating committees
Demonstrate strong knowledge of ratings criteria and cash flow analysis
Work on special projects as directed by the analytical team manager
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week
What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 5+ years of experience in Structured Finance (CLO, ABS, MBS, etc.) or previous experience in related financial services roles
Graduate degree in a relevant discipline – a JD and/or prior legal document review experience is a decisive asset
Strong proficiency with Excel, financial models and financial data
Strong understanding of financial markets and their relationship to S&P Global products
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to analyze and solve non-routine problems in a timely and insightful manner
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week
We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines under time pressure

Compensation / Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $175,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
