
Planner, Men's Apparel & Accessories- Fashion Brand

Our client, a fashion brand, is looking for a Planner to join their Men's Planning team in NY.
Essential Functions:
Develop and manage seasonal and annual financial plans (sales, margin, inventory) for Mens Apparel & Accessories
Partner with Merchandising to build assortment strategies aligned with financial targets
Analyze historical performance and current trends to forecast demand at category and SKU level
Identify risks and opportunities, making actionable recommendations to drive business performance
Manage OTB (Open-to-Buy) and ensure alignment with sales and inventory goals
Monitor weekly business performance, including sales, sell-through, WOS, and margin
Collaborate with Allocation to optimize inventory flow and in-season replenishment strategies
Lead markdown strategies and promotional planning to maximize profitability
Drive inventory productivity through effective lifecycle management
Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and seasonal recaps to leadership
Qualifications:
47+ years of experience in retail planning, merchandising, or financial planning (apparel preferred)
Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling)
Experience with retail planning systems (e.g., Aptos, JDA, Oracle Retail, or similar)
Solid understanding of retail math (sales, margin, turn, WOS, OTB)
Ability to synthesize data into clear insights and recommendations
Strong communication and presentation skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
