Air & Ocean Export Coordinator | Valley Stream, NY | Salary: Up to $65,000 This role is responsible for managing end-to-end export shipments via air and ocean, ensuring compliance with international regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment. Benefits Competitive salary up to $65,000 Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Key Responsibilities Coordinate and process international export shipments (air and ocean) from booking through final delivery Prepare and review export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and air waybills Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations and international trade laws Communicate with carriers, overseas agents, and customers to arrange shipments and provide updates Track and trace shipments, proactively resolving any delays or issues Manage bookings with steamship lines and airlines Maintain accurate records in internal systems and ensure data integrity Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner Work closely with internal departments such as pricing, operations, and customs brokerage Qualifications 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding, specifically in export (air and/or ocean) Knowledge of export documentation and international shipping procedures Familiarity with Incoterms and basic customs regulations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience with freight forwarding software (e.g., CargoWise) is a plus
