Director of Men’s and Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country
Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) is seeking a Director of Men’s and Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country to lead and grow a competitive, student-centered program. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and developing all aspects of the program while mentoring student‑athletes and promoting both athletic and academic success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of men’s and women’s track & field and cross country programs
Instruct student‑athletes in sport‑specific skills, techniques, and competition strategies
Recruit and retain student‑athletes aligned with LMU’s mission and standards
Promote academic achievement, leadership, and personal development
Ensure full compliance with NCAA, conference, and university regulations
Oversee scheduling, travel, and day‑to‑day program operations
Build a positive, team‑oriented culture
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Coaching experience at the NCAA Division I, II, or III level
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher
Collegiate experience as a track & field student‑athlete and/or coach
Strong knowledge of track & field and cross country
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and regulations
CPR certification
