Position Summary Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) is seeking a Director of Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross Country to lead and grow a competitive, student-centered program. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and developing all aspects of the program while mentoring student-athletes and promoting both athletic and academic success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of men's and women's track & field and cross country programs
Instruct student-athletes in sport-specific skills, techniques, and competition strategies
Recruit and retain student-athletes aligned with LMU's mission and standards
Promote academic achievement, leadership, and personal development
Ensure full compliance with NCAA, conference, and university regulations
Oversee scheduling, travel, and day-to-day program operations
Build a positive, team-oriented culture
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Coaching experience at the NCAA Division I, II, or III level
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or higher
Collegiate experience as a track & field student-athlete and/or coach
Strong knowledge of track & field and cross country
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and regulations
CPR certification
