Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Internal Communications Specialist, someone who’s ready to be part of a growing team with amazing opportunities. In this position, you’ll assist in shaping and executing internal communication strategies that strengthen employee understanding of the hospital’s mission, priorities and culture. This role partners closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to provide counsel,

develop clear and compelling content and manage communication channels that drive engagement, build organizational ambassadors and inspire employees to take action.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Leads and executes enterprise-wide internal communications strategy aligned with organizational goals

Manages complex communications projects end-to-end, including planning, stakeholder alignment, timelines and delivery across multiple channels

Crafts high-quality, audience-focused communications including leadership messages, intranet content, talking points, video scripts, presentations and campaign materials

Manages and optimizes internal communication channels (e.g., intranet, newsletters, digital signage, email, town halls)

Builds strong relationships with clinical, research, operational and administrative partners to understand their communication needs

Provides strategic counsel to leaders, including support during high-priority or sensitive communications

Supports crisis communications, helping develop clear, timely messaging in fast-moving situations

Develops initiatives that foster employee connection, recognition and engagement

Tracks and analyzes communication performance metrics and prepare regular metric reports

Skills & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications or related field required

4 years of experience with internal communications, corporate communications, or employee engagement required

Demonstrated project management experience, including managing multiple priorities, timelines and stakeholders

Experience supporting crisis communications or issues management preferred

Experience in healthcare, nonprofit or mission-driven organizations preferred

Change management communication experience preferred
