Senior Cyber Underwriter

This role will support the implementation of specific business strategies by contributing to business development and growth through cultivating relationships with designated clients and making informed underwriting decisions to enhance the profitability of the portfolio. Key responsibilities involve generating new business, retaining renewals, and ensuring the overall profitability of a specific designated book of business within our Specialty insurance vertical. Location: Los Angeles, California or San Francisco, California Work Arrangement: This role will be on a hybrid schedule and required to come into office 8-12 days a month Pay Range: $109,000 - $164,000 Your New Role

Review, evaluate and price business by applying underwriting judgment and adhering to regulations. Identify and minimize risks through due diligence and escalation of issues when necessary. Promote the department, division, and company to maximize brand leverage. Mentor junior underwriters Comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Continually develop expertise and technical knowledge through learning activities. Contribute to recording and measurement of insurance risks. Establish and strengthen relationships with producers and customers on the West Coast. Assist with improvements in underwriting practices and pricing strategies. Research and obtain market intelligence to enhance profit goals. Contribute to special projects and department initiatives. Required Qualifications

Tertiary Degree or relevant work experience Preferred Experience: Underwriting experience in the insurance industry, including risk profiling and pricing tools. Established customer and broker relationships. Underwriting experience in a high-production environment with increasing levels of responsibilities Compensation Package

The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance. QBE Benefits
