What Work You Will be Responsible For: Managing the sales tax compliance process for clients sales tax returns Sales tax research projects Managing information and people related to sales tax compliance Interacting with clients and managing staff Corresponding with state and local tax authorities to resolve client issues Managing registrations and business licenses for clients Basic Qualifications: 6+ years experience with sales tax compliance Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent field CPA, JD, or Enrolled Agent preferred Desired Qualifications: CMI (sales tax) designation a plus Excellent communication and organization skills Experience with sales tax preparation software such as Vertex or Alteryx Understanding of sales tax issues, including exemption certificate management, tax accruals and reserves, journal entries and use tax issue.
