What you’ll do: We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Strategic Marketing Manager to lead strategic initiatives and marketing efforts for our L&L Americas business focused on our non-automotive portfolio, encompassing sealants, adhesives, advanced composites, among other technologies. This role will be instrumental in identifying market opportunities, driving growth strategies, and contributing to corporate development activities, such as partnerships and new business models. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of strategy, technology, and commercial execution.

Duties / Responsibilities of this position: The Strategic Marketing Manager will be responsible for strategic planning and market development, business intelligence, and benchmarking for L&L Americas. Key activities and deliverables for this position include:

Strategic Planning & Market Development

Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new markets, emerging technologies, and competitive trends to shape strategic direction of L&L Americas

Develop strategic growth plans including segment roadmaps for focus non-automotive segments (e.g., building and construction, sporting goods, industrial, marine, medical equipment, infrastructure, aerospace, defense etc.).

Support corporate development initiatives, including market scanning, target identification, and due diligence for partnerships or M&A.

Collaborate with finance and legal to support business case modeling, strategic fit analysis, and integration planning for new ventures.

Act as a bridge between commercial teams and R&D to ensure that voice-of-customer and market feedback inform corporate development efforts

Lead business intelligence efforts and translate insights into actionable strategies for positioning, pricing, and innovation.

Collaborate with L&L Americas team to define key business intelligence, market research and competitive research needs, including identifying and managing vendor research relationships to ensure adherence to scope, schedule and cost

Update regional and global management on progress with, and the outcome of, all business intelligence projects conducted for Americas.

Update all corporate development, business intelligence and diversification reporting systems as required.

Job Requirements: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Bachelors degree or equivalent in business, engineering or chemistry

Masters degree preferred in Marketing, Business Administration, or Finance

Relevant experience in strategy, marketing, or business development, preferably in advanced materials, chemicals, or manufacturing sectors.

Experience in one or all industries: Aerospace, Industrial or Sporting Goods

Demonstrated understanding of adhesives, sealants, composites, or related engineered materials required.

Proven success in non-automotive markets (e.g., building and construction, sporting goods, industrial, marine, medical equipment, infrastructure, aerospace, defense etc.).

Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.

Entrepreneurial mindset with curiosity for emerging technologies and markets.

Ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into clear, strategic narratives and action plans.

Experience with strategic tools such as SWOT, Porter’s Five Forces, business model canvas, and M&A frameworks.

Comfortable navigating matrix organizations and working across technical and commercial disciplines.

Proactive communicator and collaborator.

Ability to maintain and develop new relationships, negotiating skills; ability to influence customer decisions
