Marketing & Events Specialist
Role summary:
The Marketing & Events Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing company-wide meetings, conferences, and external events throughout the year. This role is a key member of the Marketing team, contributing to event strategy, logistics, and on-site execution to ensure every event is seamless, on-brand, and impactful. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and creative problem-solver who excels in fast-paced environments and consistently builds strong relationships with internal partners and vendors.
Responsibilities:
Lead and execute high profile, professional level events such as CFO forums, industry wide networking events, continuing professional development programs, and other corporate level gatherings.
Function as the primary liaison for all sponsored programs, including the CFO Awards and other high visibility events within the financial industry.
Plan, manage, and execute all phases of events from concept through post-event wrap-up, including venue sourcing, vendor coordination, travel arrangements, registration, RSVPs, guest communications, on-site support, and teardown.
Maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for all events.
Manage contracts, negotiations, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality execution.
Track attendance, engagement, and success metrics; prepare post-event recaps and insights.
Collaborate and develop event-related content, materials, and promotional assets.
Ensure all events align with the company's brand voice, mission, and values.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in corporate event planning or event coordination.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Experience managing budgets and tracking expenses.
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Canva (or similar tools).
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed for events, and willingness to travel up to 25%.
