Affiliate Faculty Position

The School of Hospitality at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for temporary, part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. Responsibilities include teaching 3+ credit hours in subject areas such as ProStart, Culinary, Introduction to Hotel, and Introduction to Event Management. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to effectively infuse technology into coursework and be available for consultation with students. Required qualifications include a master's degree in the field or an associate's degree or higher in a hospitality-related discipline plus substantial professional experience. Preferred qualifications include nationally recognized certificates and licenses relevant to the teaching field. Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester-by-semester basis. They are not eligible for benefit coverage under the University's benefit program. All teaching assignments are dependent on budget and enrollment. Qualified candidates will be expected to teach in person/on campus upon hire. The final salary is based on the number of credit hours assigned at a rate determined by university policy.
