Cabinet Fabricator Are you interested in becoming a part of an innovative in-house maintenance facility working in our interiors department on private aircraft?
Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for an experienced Cabinet Fabricator to join our team!
This position is located in Sanford, Florida.
Duties & Responsibilities Manufacturing and fabricating cabinets from raw materials on aircraft including wood, honeycomb, fiberglass, sheet metal and veneers
Construct interior components to the customer's specifications
Fabricates, fit, trims and installs interior components, galleys, bulk heads, doors, side ledges, tray and conference tables
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Inspect and inventory incoming cabinetry for existing damage
Protect and tag all items using proper interior nomenclature for part identification
Reads and interprets equipment manuals to complete all work
Completes all associated paperwork thoroughly and accurately for all work accomplished
Diagnoses problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
Seeks methods to cross train to develop technical skills and business knowledge
Assist aircraft technicians when necessary
Ensure functional tests of all installed items is satisfactory
Performs other duties as required
Assist engineering staff and draftsmen to generate drawings and renderings Work with DER's to provide structural data when necessary
Required Skills High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in aviation cabinetmaking and fabrication preferred
Wood working or wood finishing experience in a technical environment
Cabinet installation experience including fit and trim preferred
Ability to work in a team environment
Requires excellent communication skills
Ability to pass background check and achieve airport badge
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
