The Pathway Initiative Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community-based educational organization based in downtown Boston, MA. We focus on increasing diversity in the medical profession, addressing the shortage of clinicians in disadvantaged communities, and tackling healthcare disparities in underserved areas. Our programs offer comprehensive STEM education support through mentorship, leadership training, and financial assistance to minority groups across the US and globally. From high school to medical school, we assist students and graduates in their journey to becoming certified clinicians in underserved communities. Role Description This is a part‑time remote role for a grant writer. The grant writer will be responsible for researching grant opportunities, writing and submitting two grant proposals per week. Prepare grant budget, attend virtual grant proposal meetings, managing grant administration. Grant writer will also be responsible for setting up quarterly virtual fundraising campaigns to support organizational fundraising efforts. Key daily tasks include developing compelling narratives, ensuring timely submission of grants, good storytelling, good budgeting skills, and maintaining relationships with funding agencies. The grant writer will collaborate closely with other team members to secure financial support for our programs. Qualifications At least 5 years of grant writing experience in the STEM field Understanding non-profit operations and budget preparation Must have STEM background and flexible with writing different proposals Proficiency in conducting prospect research Ability to work independently and remotely Experience in non-profit or education sectors is a plus Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or related field #J-18808-Ljbffr
