Key Responsibilities of the Creative Strategist / Market Research Analyst Research & Market Insights Conduct deep‑dive research into new clients, industries, and target audiences Analyze kickoff calls to understand brand goals, positioning, and direction Develop detailed audience profiles and identify key behavioural insights Perform competitor analysis to uncover opportunities and differentiators Track industry, cultural, and content trends to identify what’s working (and why) Identify patterns across markets, brands, and consumer behaviour Strategy & Creative Support Translate raw research into clear, actionable strategic recommendations Support strategy directors with insights that guide brand and campaign development Revisit and refine past research to support evolving strategies Gradually contribute to creating client briefs and shaping creative direction Data Synthesis & Reporting Distill large volumes of data into concise summaries (e.g., top 5 insights) Pull and analyse performance data from platforms like Meta, Google, and TikTok Organise research into structured Google Docs with clear narratives Embed visual references (screenshots, examples) for context Leverage AI tools (e.g., Gemini) to enhance research and synthesis Workflow & Collaboration Manage research across 2–3 clients at different stages simultaneously Meet deadlines for deep dives while adapting to fast‑turnaround needs Use ClickUp for task updates and Slack for daily communication Participate in regular check‑ins to align direction and refine outputs Process Improvement & Ownership Build and improve internal research systems and workflows Develop SOPs for data gathering and insight delivery Bring fresh, “out‑of‑the‑box” thinking to uncover unique insights Communicate proactively when support or direction is needed Why We’re Hiring Our client needs a research‑engine behind their strategy team—someone who can turn raw data, trends, and insights into clear, actionable direction for creative work.
