Creative Multimedia Manager The University of Colorado Anschutz Office of Communications is seeking a Creative Multimedia Manager to lead the strategy, production, and execution of compelling photography, video, and motion graphics that bring campus stories to life and elevate the university's brand across channels. The role reports to the Senior Director of Brand and Digital Marketing and serves as the lead program manager for multimedia production, balancing creative vision with disciplined execution, operational oversight, and project management. Job Summary This position is responsible for capturing high‑quality multimedia content in fast‑moving clinical and research environments while maintaining clear communication, meeting deadlines, and delivering consistently polished work. The Creative Multimedia Manager designs, produces, and edits content from concept through delivery, amplifying awareness, engagement, and reach for CU Anschutz. The role may occasionally require after‑hours work or short‑notice support. Key Responsibilities Multimedia Content Production (capturing photo and video) 45% Pre/Post Production and Asset Management 25% Strategy, Analytics and Platform Management 15% Production Management, Coordination and Administrative tasks 15% Work Location Hybrid (3 days on campus, remaining portion remote as needed for in‑person meetings and filming) Benefits Medical: Multiple plan options Dental: Multiple plan options Additional Insurance: Disability, Life, Vision Retirement 401(a) Plan: Employer contributes 10% of your gross pay Paid Time Off: Accruals over the year Vacation Days: 22 per year (maximum accrual 352 hours) Sick Days: 15 per year (unlimited maximum accrual) Holiday Days: 10 per year Tuition Benefit: Employees have access to this benefit on all CU campuses ECO Pass: Reduced rate RTD Bus and light rail service Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in film, multimedia, video production, motion graphics, marketing, journalism, communications, public relations or a related field 4 (four) or more years of progressively responsible experience in photography, video production, digital engagement, marketing environments A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year‑for‑year basis. Preferred Qualifications Experience producing engaging, audience‑driven video content Experience with project management Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud with specialized expertise in Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated leadership and success in producing high‑quality video, photography, and motion graphics Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines and clearly communicating timelines and progress to stakeholders Expert‑level skills and aptitude in Adobe Creative Cloud with specialized expertise in Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator, and other software as needed Ability to tell a captivating story in a variety of formats, from short teasers to long‑form videos; strong working knowledge of how to conceptualize/produce effective videos for social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Vimeo, YouTube, Instagram, X, and Facebook Expert‑level proficiency with both standard and state‑of‑the‑art video, camera, audio equipment and technology, in a professional broadcast studio environment Knowledge of media production technologies, video systems, and web‑based applications Strong program and project management skills, including the ability to establish workflows, prioritize competing demands, and ensure consistent follow‑through Self‑starter who can work both independently as well as in a team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to conduct interviews and create a comfortable, natural on‑camera experience for subjects Excellent project management skills, strong attention to detail and follow‑through Proficiency in video color correction, photo retouching, and sound mixing; strong working knowledge of different video formats and video file conversions Excellent relationship management skills Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when needed Must be able to move equipment of up to 50 pounds Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills.
