Role Overview:

We are seeking a Marketing & Investor Relations Director to support capital raising and investor engagement efforts. This role is externally oriented, with meaningful exposure to institutional investors and direct involvement in the firm’s fundraising and communication strategy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to quickly assume greater responsibility based on performance. The role requires a combination of strong communication skills, analytical rigor, and the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, compelling narratives.


Key Responsibilities:

Investor Engagement & Capital Raising

  • Support senior team members in investor meetings, including preparation, participation, and follow-up
  • Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, including endowments, foundations, pensions, and family offices
  • Contribute to pipeline development efforts, including sourcing and tracking prospective investors
  • Assist in managing ongoing investor communications and engagement strategy

Performance & Portfolio Communication

  • Translate portfolio positioning, performance drivers, and risk exposures into clear investor-facing messaging
  • Support the development of performance attribution materials (e.g., long/short alpha, sector exposures, thematic positioning) for both internal and external reporting / benchmarking and peer analysis
  • Partner with the investment team to ensure accuracy and consistency of messaging

Marketing & Materials

  • Assist in the preparation and refinement of marketing materials, including pitchbooks, tear sheets, and investor updates
  • Ensure materials are high-quality, consistent, and tailored to institutional audiences
  • Maintain and enhance the firm’s data room and marketing content library

Investor Pipeline & CRM

  • Track investor interactions, pipeline progress, and fundraising activity in CRM systems
  • Support reporting and analytics around fundraising efforts and investor engagement

Talent and Market Intelligence

  • Engage in peer outreach and relationship management to further develop and grow your network, staying on top of news, trends and best practices
  • Potential opportunity to assist in talent acquisition and development across both investment and non-investment roles


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in investor relations, capital raising, or a related role within asset management, hedge funds, private markets, or cap intro.
  • Strong understanding of hedge fund strategies, particularly equity long/short and market neutral approaches
  • Ability to communicate investment concepts clearly and credibly to sophisticated institutional audiences
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment with significant external exposure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with CRM systems preferred


Preferred Experience:

  • Prior direct exposure to institutional allocators (e.g., endowments, foundations, pensions, OCIOs, or consultants)
  • Experience supporting or participating in live fundraising processes, including investor meetings, pipeline development, or diligence cycles
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to investment storytelling, including performance attribution or portfolio positioning
