About the Role GoodWe is seeking a customer-facing Technical Sales Engineer to support our growing North American business. In this field-based role, you’ll act as the technical bridge between our sales team and customer stakeholders—combining strong product knowledge, field experience, and excellent communication and working directly with solar installers, EPCs, developers, and distributors to ensure successful design, commissioning, and support of GoodWe residential and C&I inverter and energy storage solutions. This role is ideal for someone who loves being in the field, educating partners, solving technical challenges, and helping to close deals through trusted expertise. Key Responsibilities Serve as the technical lead during the sales process: provide system design guidance, product selection support, and technical presentations for partners and internal teams Help shape technical documentation, training content, and internal tools Participate in grid compliance studies, certification processes, and regulatory readiness. Ensuring systems meet applicable UL/CSA, NEC, IEEE, and local code requirements Support installation partners with AHJ or utility interconnection requirements and technical submissions Analyze field performance, technical issues, and customer feedback collected by sales/support teams Attend trade shows, road shows, and technical workshops as the technical face of GoodWe Maintain records of site visits, issue resolutions, and partner feedback in CRM systems Collaborate with internal sales, service, and product teams to ensure excellent customer experience Requirements 3+ years in solar PV or energy storage (residential or C&I) Hands-on experience with inverters, PV system architecture, and monitoring platforms, and PV design tools (e.g., Aurora, HelioScope, PVsyst) Working knowledge of NEC 690/705, UL, IEEE, and CSA codes Strong communication and presentation skills Up to 50% travel across U.S. or Canada Preferred: NABCEP PV Installation Professional or Design Specialist certification What We Offer Competitive salary + bonus Vehicle/travel reimbursement Remote flexibility with regional travel Health benefits, training, and a mission-driven work culture
