Job Title: Call Center Representative
Location: Houston, Texas, 77086
Shift: Day, (7:00 am - 6:00 pm - 8 hours shift)
Duration: 3 months + possible extension
Pay Range: $18/hr- $21/hr
Responsibilities: Answer calls, research issues, work with other departments, and provide clear solutions. Act as an advocate by assisting members and providers with complaints, appeals, and appointment scheduling. Protect patient privacy by verifying caller identity and following HIPAA guidelines. Document all interactions accurately and escalate complex issues when needed
Skills: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of medical terminology and managed care processes Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities Typing speed of at least 35 WPM Proficiency in call center systems, CRM tools, and healthcare platforms Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)
Required: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) 1 year Customer service experience within managed care or insurance industry
