Participating in IRS audits and administrative hearings* Advocate on clients' behalf before the collection, examination, and Appeals divisions of the Internal Revenue Service, and all 50 state tax agencies* Research and consult on various tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested, make recommendations to the client for consideration* Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client service* Develop in-depth knowledge of clients’ businesses and industries by having direct client interaction while working on multiple aspects of an engagement.* Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally* Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards**Qualifications****Successful candidates will have:*** Bachelor’s or master's degree in accounting or law, or a related degree in business, with sufficient course work and credits to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state you are being considered* JD or other applicable advanced degree a plus* Outstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above* Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization* The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel* Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving* Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability* Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)* There is currently no immigration sponsorship available for this positionThe pay rate range for this job position is $88,000 to $130,710. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
