Within Grid Solutions, the Grid Systems Integration (GSI) Business Line is accountable for product development, business development, sales, project execution, and services of high‑voltage alternative & direct current complete solutions, including engineering, procurement and associated construction (EPC). Typical customers are worldwide transmission, distribution, power generation utilities and developers, as well as a wide range of industrial customers. Typical project values range from several hundred thousand dollars to multi‑billion‑dollar contracts. GSI operates a regionally structured profit and loss model with the North & South Europe (NSE) region spanning Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Israel and Romania. The NSE region delivers an average annual order intake of USD 1–2 billion, supported by a commercial and tendering organisation of approximately 40 specialists.

Role Summary / Purpose We are seeking a Senior Account Manager – Sweden, to join our growing commercial team in North and South Europe. The role reports hierarchically to the GSI NSE Commercial and Tendering Leader and is responsible for ensuring the NSE region secures a significant share of the growing market in Sweden, in coordination with the GSI Sales & Tendering teams, marketing teams and global account managers. In this client‑facing role you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing client relationships, ensuring the delivery of tailored electrification solutions that meet our clients’ unique needs. The position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in account management, preferably with expertise in stability solutions and a deep understanding of the Swedish market.

Essential Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for growth.

Build trust relationships with key customer people, including C‑level stakeholders, and address value opportunities appropriately.

Act as a strategic advisor to clients, understanding their electrification and decarbonisation goals and aligning our solutions to meet their business objectives.

Identify, develop and establish strategies aligned with the GEV Electrification Business and GSI NSE strategic objectives.

Map customer stakeholder structure, identify decision‑makers and influence maps, manage promoters and detractors, and define relationship strategy to guarantee a business advantage.

Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities within existing accounts and lead commercial negotiations.

Conduct thorough market analysis to identify new business opportunities and expand the client base.

Develop, structure and deploy sales plans for the covered market region/segment to maximise business results in terms of volume and profitability.

Identify, evaluate, support and develop strategic alliances & partnerships for cost‑efficient and profitable development of business opportunities.

Track and report on account performance and pipeline using Salesforce CRM, providing strategic insights and recommendations for improvement.

Lead the end‑to‑end account management process—from onboarding to renewals—ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience.

Support the Commercial Operations Team in all contract negotiations, maximising negotiation conditions, mitigating risks and defining full governance in contracts.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and conferences across Sweden and Northern Europe.

Stay up to date on market trends, regulatory changes and emerging technologies in the electrification and sustainability space.

Code Of Ethic, EHS And Processes Accountable to comply with the Grid Solutions Sales & Tendering process and associated Delegation of Authority, as well as the GE Code of Ethics and EHS.

Qualifications / Requirements

Undergraduate degree in electrical, electromechanical or a related engineering discipline.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in B2B account management, preferably within energy, power stability solutions, cleantech or industrial environments.

Proven track record of building, managing and growing senior client relationships, including engagement with C‑level stakeholders.

High proficiency in Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex commercial and technical challenges into clear, actionable plans.

Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.

Fluency in Swedish and English.

Desired Characteristics
