*Job Title:* Customer Service Representative Outdoor Power Equipment
*Location:* Olive Branch, MS 38654 (100% On-site, office environment) *Reports to:* Customer Service Manager
*Company Overview*
We are a leading distributor/importer/manufacturer of outdoor power equipment and tools, including *gas generators, pressure washers, lawn mowers, water pumps, snow blowers, and garden tools*. We are seeking a mechanically inclined individual to support our customers after the sale.
*Job Summary*
The *Customer Service Representative* acts as the primary point of contact for customers needing trouble shooting, technical support, warranty assistance, and parts identification. This is an *office-based role* (not a field service role), but requires strong mechanical reasoning to diagnose issues remotely.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and ticket system regarding product operation, troubleshooting, and repairs. * Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems on small engines (gasoline), pressure washers, pumps, lawn and garden tools, and electrical motors. * Determine warranty coverage eligibility and process claims. * Identify, order, and track replacement parts for customers/dealers. * Document all service interactions in CRM system. * Communicate with warehouse/logistics teams regarding service parts returns. * Occasionally assist with technical documentation (exploded views, parts lists).
*Required Qualifications*
* *Mechanical aptitude* understanding of 4-stroke/2-stroke engines, generators, water pumps, pressure systems, or basic electrical circuits. * 1+ year of experience in customer service, technical support, or repair role (preferably with outdoor power equipment). * Ability to read parts diagrams and technical manuals. * Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email, CRM). * High school diploma or equivalent.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* *Prior experience* servicing any of the following: gas generators, pressure washers, lawn mowers (ride/push), water pumps, snow blowers, chainsaws, trimmers, or blowers. * *Spanish language fluency* (spoken/written) highly preferred. * *French language skills* a strong plus. * Technical school or trade school background (small engine repair, mechanics).
*Work Environment & Schedule*
* Location: Olive Branch, MS 38654 (office setting not remote) * Standard business hours (e.g., 7 AM 4 PM, 8 AM 5 PM, Mon-Fri) * Clean, climate-controlled office environment. No heavy lifting required (office role).
