Position Summary The Senior Manager, Business Analyst provides strategic and people leadership for a team of Business Analysts supporting complex, cross‑functional initiatives. This role is accountable for setting the business analysis vision, establishing standards and best practices, and ensuring high‑quality requirements delivery across programs and portfolios. The Senior Manager partners closely with Product, Technology, Operations, and executive stakeholders to translate business strategy into scalable, executable solutions.
Key Responsibilities Business Analysis Leadership Establish and enforce enterprise‑aligned business analysis standards, methodologies, and governance across initiatives Ensure consistent, high‑quality requirements documentation (business, functional, non‑functional, data, and process) Drive clarity from ambiguity by translating complex business needs into actionable requirements and outcomes Provide oversight for end‑to‑end requirements lifecycle, including discovery, refinement, traceability, validation, and change management
Stakeholder & Strategy Partnership Serve as a advisor to business and technology leaders on solution design, scope trade‑offs, and delivery approach Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, QA, and Operations to align requirements with technical and operational capabilities Facilitate executive‑level discussions to resolve scope, priority, risk, and dependency issues Support strategic initiatives, roadmaps, and investment decisions through data‑driven analysis
Delivery Oversight & Governance Ensure requirements quality supports on‑time, on‑budget delivery of initiatives Identify and mitigate risks related to scope, dependencies, data, and regulatory requirements Monitor key performance indicators related to analysis quality, delivery efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives, metrics, and process optimization
Required Qualifications 10+ years of Business Analysis experience, including 4+ years in a people management or senior leadership role Proven experience leading Business Analysts supporting large, complex programs or portfolios Strong expertise in requirements management, process modeling, and business‑to‑technology translation Experience working in Agile, Hybrid, and/or Waterfall delivery environments Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive‑level presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications Healthcare, insurance, or regulated industry experience Experience supporting large‑scale technology modernization or digital transformation initiatives Familiarity with data analytics, reporting, and KPI‑driven decision making CBAP, PMI‑PBA, or Agile‑related certifications
Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $75,400.00 - $165,954.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
