Capital Markets Data Associate

Job Description The Data Associate will support the ownership of data and financial reporting leveraged by Capital Markets. This includes working with data sources throughout the bank, identifying critical elements within these sources, transforming the data into usable formats, and loading the data into various reporting platforms. The role reports to the Director of Capital Markets and will interact with the entire Capital Markets team and counterparts across the bank.

Key responsibilities involve developing and maintaining reports that capture key performance indicators and risk metrics, validating data for quality, integrity, and completeness, and using tools such as Power BI, Snowflake, SQL, Python, and R to analyze trends and root causes. The incumbent will discuss findings with stakeholders and recommend actions based on data analysis.

This position is a fully on‑site role.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing the data infrastructure for Capital Markets.

Extract, load, and transform data from a variety of sources using Snowflake, SQL, Python, and the Power BI (Fabric) platform.

Develop and maintain performance management data, systems, and reporting.

Maintain data management functions for dashboards, reports, and trending for Capital Markets.

Develop and maintain data visualization tools such as Power BI using multiple data sources to build impactful reports and trends for management.

Understand Capital Markets business initiatives and key assumptions, tracking progress and trends using reports and dashboards.

Focus on details, data‑driven, and organized to produce reports that enable the business to highlight progress, risks, and defects across systems and processes.

Build relationships with technology management, internal users, and counterparts throughout the bank.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical or business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a data, business, or reporting analyst.

Prior financial services industry experience preferred.

Knowledge and hands‑on experience building reports with tools including Microsoft Power BI/Fabric, SQL SSIS, and Snowflake.

Familiarity with SQL, DAX, M language, and Python.

Experience with Power Query and advanced Excel functions.

Demonstrated understanding of major banking principles, processes, and technologies with experience in data reporting.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Eager to learn and willing to work hard.

Salary & Benefits Salary Range : $77,390.00 - $127,139.75 (individual base pay may vary based on experience, skills, and location).
